Kitchen Porter
(Full-time)

Job responsibility

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen facilities, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, mopping, hoovering and disposing of waste

- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, whipping eggs, and other tasks as assigned

- Collect/ return dishes from service area and load/ upload them from the dishwashing machines 

- Follow all UK food safety laws, including proper food handling and storage procedures

- Ensure that kitchen facilities and equipment are maintained in good condition, including reporting any maintenance issues to the Kitchen Manager

- Assist with the receipt and storage of deliveries, including checking that all items are in good condition and properly stored

- Support the kitchen staff in other tasks as needed, including restocking supplies and running errands


Requirements:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Good organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of UK food safety laws

- Physical ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks

- Right to reside and work in the UK


Job Package & Benefits

- Full time contract

- Salary starts from £28,000

- 48 hours per week (6 days a week, off Mondays)

- 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holiday

- Christmas & New Year Closure (part of the annual leave to be taken during this period)
